Freedom Matters
Free speech is in jeopardy. Big Tech behemoths like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter are putting their thumbs on the free speech scale, restricting content they don't like. PragerU is fighting back with a lawsuit against YouTube and its parent company, Google. The real winner (or loser) will be the American public. In this video, Attorney Eric George, who is representing PragerU, lays out our case. You be the jury.
DECLARATION OF FREEDOM:
- I own myself.
- I have individual rights.
- No one has the right to violate my freedom.
NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO VIOLATE MY FREEDOM:
- No one has the right to harm me.
- No one has the right to threaten me.
- No one has the right to steal from me.
- No one has the right to violate my individual rights.
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS - are rights all humans have and no one can legally take away from us.
- The right to privacy - No one has the right to violate my privacy.
- The right to self-defense - I can defend myself, my property, and my freedom.
- The right to free speech - I can communicate my opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation or censorship.
- The right to liberty - Liberty is freedom from permission. I can do what I want, as long as I do not violate the freedom of others.
SELF-OWNERSHIP:
Self-ownership is an important part of being human. You own yourself. Without self-ownership, there is no freedom.
VOLUNTARYISM:
Interactions between people should be voluntary and free of force, fraud, theft, and threats.
LAWS SHOULD NOT VIOLATE OUR FREEDOM:
If we have the right to do something and the law says you can't do it, we still have the right to do it. We have no obligation to obey any law that violates our freedom. Any law that violates our freedom is null and void. Anyone that violates our freedom is a criminal.
THE PRICE OF FREEDOM:
There will always be people who try to violate our freedom. To remain free we have to be willing and able to defend our freedom.
