DEFINITION:
Voluntary
- done, made, or given willingly, without being forced.
- done, given, or acting of one's own free will.
- choice or action taken without external compulsion.
- performed, undertaken, or brought about by free choice.
SITUATION:
A man walks into a supermarket. He gets milk and eggs. He pays the cashier and leaves the store.
QUESTION:
Was this a voluntary interaction?
SUMMARY:
If something is voluntary then it is usually OK. If something is not voluntary then it is usually wrong.
