Freedom Matters
Government should never be able to do anything you can't do. If you can't steal from your neighbor, you can't send the government to your neighbor to steal for you.
- Ron Paul
TAXATION IS THEFT:
Theft - taking another person's money or property without that persons permission or consent.
Taxation without our consent is theft.
WRONG IS WRONG, NO MATTER WHO DOES IT:
No matter how government employees are selected they are only human beings and they have no rights or claims that are higher then those of any other human. No one has the right to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your rights. We can not give people any rights that we do not have ourselves. Government should never be able to do anything you can't do. If something is wrong for you to do, it should also be wrong for government to do. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it.
DECLARATION OF FREEDOM:
- All people are born free, created equal, and have individual rights.
- Interactions between people should be voluntary and free of force, fraud, and threats.
- We never have an obligation to let anyone commit aggression against us.
- We never have an obligation to let anyone violate our freedom.
YOU OWN YOURSELF:
Self-ownership is an important part of being human. You own yourself. You own your body. You own your labor. Because you own yourself, it is wrong for someone to initiate force against you or your property. This non-aggression principle (NAP) applies to everyone, and it is therefore wrong for someone to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your rights.
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS:
As humans we own ourselves therefore we have individual rights. Individual rights are rights all humans have and no one can legally take away from us. Individual rights supersedes any law that politicians make up. Any law that violates our rights is null and void. Anyone that violates our rights is a criminal.
- The right to privacy - No one has the right to violate my privacy.
- The right to self-defense - I can defend myself, my property, and my freedom.
- The right to free speech - I can communicate my opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship.
- The right to liberty - Liberty is freedom from permission. I can do what I want, as long as I do not violate the freedom of others.
NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO VIOLATE MY FREEDOM:
- No one has the right to harm me.
- No one has the right to threaten me.
- No one has the right to steal from me.
- No one has the right to violate my individual rights.
NON-AGGRESSION PRINCIPLE (NAP):
Initiating force or fraud against another is wrong and that the use of force is only justified when used in defense of aggression.
VOLUNTARYISM:
Interactions between people should be voluntary and free of force, fraud, and threats.
VOTE FOR FREEDOM:
We have the right to seek leaders for ourselves but we have no right to force rulers on others. No matter how leaders are selected they are only human beings and they have no rights or claims that are higher then those of any other human. No one has the right to murder, enslave, or to steal. We can not give people any rights that we do not have ourselves.
Vote for freedom by not electing anyone to rule and rob you. People can seek leaders for themselves but they have no right to force rulers on me. People can pay taxes if they want but they have no right to force taxes on me. No one has the right to rob me. I own myself. I can live my life and spend my money as I see fit.
THE PRICE OF FREEDOM:
There will always be people who try to violate our freedom. To remain free we have to be willing and able to defend our freedom.
