Freedom matters

Saudi Arabia sentences a man to 10 years in jail and 2,000 lashes for tweeting that he was an atheist

Saudi Arabia has a law defining atheist beliefs as terrorism. If you are a atheist then according to the law in Saudi Arabia then you are a terrorist.

MY ANALYSIS:

All people have individual rights. One of our individual rights is the right to free speech. The right to free speech lets us communicate our opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship.

If you have the right to do something and the law says you can't do it, we still have the right to do it. If the government says we can't do it, we still have the right to do it. Our individual rights come before any law. Any law that violates our rights is null and void. No one has the right to violate our rights.

A person who violates our rights is a criminal. A government that violates our rights is a criminal organization.

INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS:

- The right to liberty - I can do what I want, as long as I do not violate the freedom of others.
- The right to self-defense - I can defend myself, my property, and my individual rights.
- The right to own and carry weapons - So I have the ability to defend myself, my property, and my rights.
- The right to self-ownership - I own myself. No one can claim even partial ownership over me without violating my freedom.
- The right to free speech - I can communicate my opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship.
- The right to privacy - No one has the right to violate my privacy.

FREE PEOPLE ARE ARMED PEOPLE:

Free people have the right to defend themselves, slaves do not have rights.

Free people who allow themselves to be unarmed will not remain free for long.

Unarmed people, can only flee from evil. And evil is not overcome by fleeing from it.

THE PRICE OF FREEDOM:

There will always be criminals who try to violate our freedom.
To remain free we have to defend our freedom.
That is the price of freedom.

TYRANNY:

When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
- Thomas Jefferson

FREEDOM OR TYRANNY:

If people live their lives and do not infringe on the rights of others, we have no need for government at all. Sure people will say "but without government who would ....". That is like saying, "if we free the slaves, where would they live and what would they do for a living?" Would they be better off out from under the slave masters yoke and determine that later. If you always say "who would ...", you will never attain true freedom. Freedom is scary as it is uncertain. I'll take uncertainty and self-determination over government tyranny any day.

FREEDOM:

Freedom is the ability to exercise my will within my individual rights without the threat of force from anyone else.

Because we own ourselves, it is wrong for someone to initiate force against us or our property.

VIOLATION OF FREEDOM:

A violation of freedom is an attack on a person by harming them, threatening them, stealing from them, or violating there individual rights.

LIBERTY IS NOT A BATTLE:

Liberty is not a battle that requires the conversion of others in order to win.
Liberty is won when you accept the fact that you own yourself and no one has the right to violate your freedom.
When you accept that you are liberated.

NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT:

- No one has the right to rob me.
- No one has the right to harm me.
- No one has the right to threaten me.
- No one has the right to violate my rights.
- No one has the right to violate my freedom.

DECLARATION OF FREEDOM:

- All people are born free, created equal, and have individual rights.
- Interactions between people should be voluntary and free of force, fraud, theft, and threats.
- We never have an obligation to let anyone violate our freedom.
- We never have an obligation to let anyone commit aggression against us.

VOTE FOR FREEDOM:

Vote for freedom by not electing anyone to rule and rob you.
People can seek leaders for themselves but they have no right to force rulers on me. No one has the right to violate my freedom.
People can pay taxes if they want but they have no right to force taxes on me. No one has the right to rob me.
I own myself. I can live my life and spend my money as I see fit.
