ANALYSIS OF VICTIMS ACTIONS:

Did the victim harm, steal, or threaten the police? No

ANALYSIS OF THE POLICE ACTIONS:

Did the police harm, steal, or threaten the victim? Yes

Police behavior is criminal.

OUTCOME

This incident occurred in 2013 and they marked the police video confidential. They finally released the video in 2015 and at that point after people saw the video they charged the cop with assault.

SUMMARY:

It would be nice to read the police report that the two officers handed in when this happened. They most likely had to justify why the victim was assaulted by the officer who broke his jaw and knocked him out. Did they say the guy was resisting arrest? They had to say something to justify it. If the cop admitted he assaulted the guy and broke his jaw for no reason as the victim followed his orders. I would expect that the cop would have been fired years ago and charged him with assault and found guilty. No one is suppose to be above the law.

The other cop has a duty to arrest people who break the law, so should he have arrested the officer who did the assault on the victim? Did he report what really happened in the police report he filled out? Why was the officer only charged with assault two years later after the video came out? If the video never came out, do you think the officer would have been charged with assault?
