Iraq war costs U.S. more than $2 trillion

REVIEW OF INCIDENT:

The U.S. government invaded Iraq because they said they had weapons of mass destruction. Saddam in court brings up the fact that they were invaded by the United States of America because the President of the USA lied about him having weapons of mass destruction which he never had. Saddam was sentenced to death and was hung. President Bush admitted that they were wrong about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction and that Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11, but that it was OK to invade anyway because Saddam was a bad person and Iraq would be much better off now having a democracy and freedom instead of a dictator.

OUTCOME:

The U.S. government spent 2 trillion dollars of taxpayers money on the Iraq war and spent another 212 billion trying to rebuild Iraq. Iraq and the middle east are in much worse shape now since being invaded by the USA. Millions of people have been killed, injured, or left the country since the invasion. The country has been taken over by different groups. The judge who presided over Saddam's case has been captured by one of these groups and executed.

SUMMARY:

I could understand that if another country is attacking you. You have to defend yourself. But to go to another country and kill millions of innocent people because at some point in the future they may be a danger to you does not make it right. Your not defending your country when you attack innocent people who have not attacked your country. By going to another country and killing people who have never harmed you is murder.

The greatest evil today comes from governments were people have been brain washed into believing that they have an obligation to obey government and to do whatever there told to do by government. The biggest mass murders in history come from people following there governments orders.

Just because government is telling you to murder innocent people does not make it OK to do. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or who tells you to do it. You can't excuse evil acts by saying I was just following orders. Your a human being and you should be able to think for yourself and you should know the difference between right and wrong. You are responsible for your own actions.

If every country believed that wars should be fought for self defense only. Then we would have no wars because no one would be attacking anyone. But when certain governments believe that you can attack another country that has not attacked you. That it what really causes all the wars.

To help secure our individual rights, governments may be created, deriving their powers from the consent of the governed. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter it, abolish it, or withdraw there consent to be governed.

We own ourselves. No one can claim even partial ownership over you without violating your rights. No government has the right to tell you to kill innocent people. If government is harming you, stealing from you, threatening you, or violating your rights, it is a criminal organization.
