Life is better with freedom
Cops starts a brawl with two brothers and then arrest them
Two brothers cleared of all charges and win settlement after fight with police officers
REVIEW OF INCIDENT:
Two brothers are heading to restaurant to get some food. They notice that they are being tailed closely by a cop car. When the brothers pull into the parking lot and park in the parking space the cop car comes right up behind them and stops almost on there bumper. The two brothers get out of the car and head into the restaurant to order some food.
Then cops enter the restaurant and ask them if they said anything to them. The brothers are like no we did not say anything and they ask is something wrong and cop reply's no we just came in her to eat. So the two brothers think there interaction with the cops is done and turn around to order some food.
Then one of the cops asks them for identification. The brothers are asking why they want identification from them. One of the brothers is in law school and one is in college for criminal justice because he plans on becoming cop. So they know you can't just walk up to people in a restaurant for no reason and demand I.D. The cops just said a minute ago that they are there to just eat. So then one of the cops pushes one of the brothers and then a fight breaks out.
ANALYSIS OF VICTIMS ACTIONS:
Did the victims harm, steal, or threaten anyone? No

ANALYSIS OF THE POLICE ACTIONS:

OUTCOME:
The two brothers were arrested and charged with felonies for assaulting the police and resisting arrest. The police investigated the police and decided the police did nothing wrong.
The case went to court and the brothers were cleared of all charges and won a six figure settlement against the police that the taxpayers of the city of Detroit have to pay.
MY ANALYSIS:
According to what the cops said that they were just there to eat. So if the cops are there just to get some food. What reason do the cops have to demand identification from the two brothers who also happen to be in the restaurant getting some food. Is this something these cops expect us to believe that whenever they walk into a restaurant to order food they ask everyone in the restaurant for I.D. The cops expect us to believe they normally harass and violate peoples rights for no reason.
The cops lied about being there just to eat. They followed these guys in there patrol car to the restaurant. And when they walked in to the restaurant they approached the brothers and asked them if they said something to them. This is the same thing a bully would do in high school to start a fight. When the brothers asked why they wanted to see identification the cops didn't appear to have a reason and then the cop pushes one of the brothers and a fight breaks out. The cops started the fight.
If this incident was not caught on camera which shows the police starting the fight. Then it is likely that these two brothers would have went to prison for ten years each. But because there was a video the brothers were cleared of all charges.
No one has the right to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your freedom.
PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES:
Free people have the right to defend themselves, slaves do not.
WRONG IS WRONG, NO MATTER WHO DOES IT:
People have the irrational belief that government is allowed to do things that you can't. So the resistance in peoples minds is turned off and they think government authority is OK, logical, and reasonable. But if people would examine the cause and effect of what is really happening. They would say it is logical to resist someone who wants to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your rights.
No matter how government employees are selected they are only human beings and they have no rights or claims that are higher then those of any other human. No one has the right to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your rights. We can not give people any rights that we do not have ourselves. Government should never be able to do anything you can't do. If something is wrong for you to do, it should also be wrong for government to do. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it.
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS - are rights all humans have and no one can legally take away from us.
- The right to free speech - I can communicate my opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation or censorship.
- The right to liberty - I can do what I want, as long as I do not violate the freedom of others.
- The right to self-defense - I can defend my life, liberty, and property.
- The right to privacy - No one has the right to violate my privacy.
PRINCIPLES OF FREEDOM:
1 - All people are born free, created equal, and have individual rights.
2 - Interactions between people should be voluntary and free of force, fraud, theft, and threats.
3 - People have the right to self-ownership. Self-ownership means not only that you own yourself, but everyone owns themselves. The best way to ensure respect for our self-ownership is to respect the rights of others. Without self-ownership, there is no freedom.
4 - No one can claim even partial ownership over a person without violating there rights. Taxing people without there consent under the threat of force is robbery and is a violation of our rights. Free people get to decide for themselves how there money is spent.
5 - People have the right to carry weapons to defend their life, liberty, and property. We never have an obligation to let anyone commit aggression against us. No one has the right to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your rights.
6 - To help secure our individual rights, governments may be created, deriving their powers from the consent of the governed. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter it, abolish it, or withdraw there consent to be governed.
7 - We have the right to seek leaders for ourselves but we have no right to force rulers on others. No matter how leaders are selected they are only human beings and they have no rights or claims that are higher then those of any other human. No one has the right to murder, enslave, or to steal. We can not give people any rights that we do not have ourselves.
THE FREEDOM SOLUTION:
There are two kinds of people. People who prefer big government (statists) and people who prefer freedom. Statists want government to have a great deal of power over the economy and individual behavior. People who prefer freedom, want to have a great deal of control over there own lives.
Most people who prefer big government won't change there mind. Most people who prefer freedom won't change there mind. So instead of trying to convert the other side. We should just let each group live the way they want too.
If your a person who prefers statism then you can have all the government you want, as long as you do not violate the individual rights of others. If your a person who prefers freedom then you can have all the freedom you want, as long as you do not violate the individual rights of others.
Freedom means people get to decide for themselves how they want to live.

- Why do no mass murders occur in a shooting range, full of people with guns?
- Why is it becoming more common to have mass murders in places with gun free zones, full of people without guns?
- Is it fair to say, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is if there is good guy with a gun who is willing to defend himself?
- Do you have the right to defend your life, liberty, and property?
DEFENDING YOUR INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS:
- Should people respect your individual rights?
- Should you respect the individual rights of others?
- Do you have the right to defend your individual rights?

- What is more dangerous, freedom or a government that has authority over you?
- Is government the biggest threat to our freedom?
INTERACTIONS BETWEEN PEOPLE:
- Should interactions between people be voluntary?
- Should interactions between people be free of force, fraud, theft, and threats?
DO WE HAVE A OBLIGATION TO OBEY:

- Does anyone have the right to claim ownership over you?
- Do you own yourself or is someone else your master?
LIBERTY:
Liberty is not a battle that requires the conversion of others in order to win. Liberty is won when you accept the fact that you own yourself and no one has the right to violate your freedom. When you accept that you are liberated.
