Police barge into home to make arrest over the length of grass
Police came barging into a woman's home because they wanted to arrest the owner for the length of her lawn. A tenant, Robyn Ruckman, recorded the encounter. As she answered the door, police treated her rudely and started making demands. She told them her name but that wasn't good enough. They wanted her to produce ID.
After asking them to stay outside, the police barged into her home.
"You know, I don't even see a name tag," Ruckman told the officer.
"I don't give a shit what you see. Go get your ID. You see that?! It says POLICE."
OUTCOME:
The police did not arrest her because she was not the home owner therefore she is not responsible for cutting the grass.
ANALYSIS:
Robbery - someone is taking or attempting to take your money or property by force, threat of force, or by putting the victim in fear
They wrote this guy tickets for not cutting his grass and if you do not pay the tickets they will arrest you. It is unknown if the owner of the house ever received the tickets because he does not live at the house. The police can just write this ticket and stick it on your door. This is just another way for a government to rob the people. They write you a ticket for something demanding money from you and if you do not give them the money, they will arrest you. Governments true purpose is to rule and rob you.
The cops who did this do not think there evil. The cops would say, I'm just doing my job, I'm following orders, rules, procedures, regulations and laws. They are not thinking about what is right and what is wrong. They are not thinking. They think it is OK because they were told to do it. I don't care who tells you it is OK for you to rob people. If you rob people for a living then you are a criminal. It is none of your business how long his grass is.
No matter how government employees are selected they are only human beings and they have no rights or claims that are higher then those of any other human. No one has the right to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your rights. We can not give people any rights that we do not have ourselves. Government should never be able to do anything you can't do. If something is wrong for you to do, it should also be wrong for government to do. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it.
The police would say that there just doing there job and it the victims fault for not obeying them. Your not there master, no one has to obey you. You don't own us. We are not slaves. Free people can do as they please within there rights, as long as they do not violate the rights of others.
THEFT AND ROBBERY:
Is it wrong if someone takes your money or property without your permission or consent (Theft)?
Is it wrong if someone is taking or attempting to take your money or property by force, threat of force, or by putting the victim in fear (Robbery)?
If something is wrong for a individual to do, should it also be wrong for the government to do?
Is it fair to say, wrong is wrong, no matter who does it?
YOUR THE VICTIM OF A ROBBERY!!!
Should it make a difference what color the robbers skin is?
Should it make a difference if the robbers are employed or unemployed?
Should it make a difference if the robbers are employed by the government?
Is it fair to say, wrong is wrong, no matter who does it?
DOES ANYONE HAVE THE RIGHT TO ROB YOU:
Can you delegate to another human being a right that you do not have?
Can two people delegate a right to a human being that neither of them have?
Can seven million people delegate a right to a human being that none of them have?
Can someone delegate the right to steal my money to government?
Can seven million people delegate to government the right to steal my money?
Can anyone in government have a right that I do not have?
PRINCIPLES OF FREEDOM:
All people are created equal.
All people have individual rights.
All interactions between people should be voluntary.
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS:
1 - The right to liberty - The right to what you want as long as you do not violate the rights of others.
2 - The right to self-defense - The right to defend yourself, your property, and your individual rights.
3 - The right to own and carry weapons - So you have the ability to defend yourself, your property, and your rights.
4 - The right to self-ownership - We own ourselves. No one can claim even partial ownership over you without violating your rights.
5 - The right to free speech - The right to communicate your opinions and ideas without fear of government retaliation or censorship.
6 - The right to privacy - No one has the right to violate your privacy.
Any law that violates our rights is null and void. Anyone that violates our rights is a criminal.
FREEDOM:
Freedom is the ability to exercise your will within your individual rights without the threat of force from anyone else.
If somebody is forcing their will on us, clearly, we are not free. A violation of freedom is an attack on a person by harming them, stealing from them, threatening them, or violating there individual rights. Freedom is not just an ideal state of society, but a moral code for respecting the individual rights of others.
Because you own yourself, it is wrong for someone to initiate force against you or your property. Acceptance of this simple fact is the foundation of a free and peaceful society. This universal nonaggression principle applies to everyone, and it is therefore wrong for someone to harm you, steal from you, threaten you, or violate your individual rights.
LIBERTY IS NOT A BATTLE:
Liberty is not a battle that requires the conversion of others in order to win.
Liberty is won when you accept the fact that you own yourself, that you have individual rights, and no one has the right to violate your rights.
When you accept that you are liberated.
NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO:
No one has the right to harm you.
No one has the right to threaten you.
No one has the right to steal from you.
No one has the right to violate your rights.
THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES:
The Declaration of Independence condemned authoritarian power and empowered the individual. It argued that all people were created equal. That all people have individual rights. That our individual rights can not be taken away from us. That the main purpose of government was to help secure our individual rights. That government power came from the consent of the governed. That government could not tax us without our consent. When government violates our individual rights it becomes the citizens duty to take away the governments right to govern.
But the revolution is not over. As long as some people claim the right to rule and others claim the right to be free, the revolution will continue. Final victory comes when people embrace the principles of true equality, non-aggression, self-ownership, and voluntarism. That is when people will truly be ready to be free.
THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM NEVER ENDS:
Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction.
It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation.
- Ronald Reagan
FREEDOM OR TYRANNY:
If people live their lives and do not infringe on the rights of others, we have no need for government at all. Sure people will say "but without government who would ....". That is like saying, "if we free the slaves, where would they live and what would they do for a living?" Would they be better off out from under the slave masters yoke and determine that later. If you always say "who would ...", you will never attain true freedom. Freedom is scary as it is uncertain. I'll take uncertainty and self-determination over government tyranny any day.
